Renovation & Refurbishment 

The Foundry is a building steeped in engineering history. Used for much of the 19th century by steam innovator James Taylor and inventor Edward Compton, the first submarine 'Resurgam' was built here and launched on its first outing from Alfred Dock in 1879. In adapting the historic building to provide a modern workspace, its original features are tactfully celebrated and proud heritage brought to the fore.
