The project involves extensive renovation, retrofit and extension works to convert a 1950s house into one of Wirral's most eco-friendly homes. This has been achieved by careful space planning, retrospective installation of sustainable heating and ventilation systems, and photovoltaic panels to supply the house with renewable energy. The new extension opens up the rear reception rooms, with large glazed doors and roof windows to harness natural daylight and connect with the extensively planted garden.
